So, not a school related thing really, but an update! This weekend the kids get to visit Nana & Papa at the lake- tonight they roasted marshmallows on a campfire! I am at North Country Fiber Festival in Watertown, South Dakota. I'm taking classes on basket weaving, Japanese embroidery, and crochet. A fun weekend for true fiber artists! Outside of class we all sit in a giant circle and spin yarn, knit, crochet, quilt, etc. Its not all sitting around either, there are sheep, angora bunnies, sheep dog demos (I think??) And of course shopping :)

There is a homeschool group that meets biweekly for rollerskating. On opposite weeks another group meets for bowling.
X is in flag football.
A is in dance & gymnastics.
X is also going to be helping me with an outreach ministry teaching English to Iraqi ladies in town.
Both kids also go to Awana at church Wednesday evenings.

Gym Baby
She loves gymnastics. We haven't had her enrolled for a few months because of scheduling and summer, but she's thrilled to be back in it. Hoping her enthusiasm continues!

Literature Learning
This is how you do hands-on literature learning. A folk poem "Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" singing, dancing, reenacting and of course looking at the pictures in a book!
Hope the video link works, posting from my phone again!
Skate Day
Today is the first day of the afternoon group rollerskating for homeschoolers. Its every other week and on opposite weeks there is bowling! The last two years we did the rollerskating only, but I think this year we'll maybe done one of each a month, not sure if we'll go every time or not, especially in the winter. But until then we are having fun!
